Black Raspberry Seed Oil is cold pressed from the tiny seeds of the luscious, dark purple-black berries of Rubus occidentalis, native to eastern North America. Other names commonly used include Wild Black Raspberry, Black Caps, Black Cap Raspberry, Thimbleberry, and Scotch Cap. Black Raspberry Seed Oil is similar to, but should not be confused with its cousin, Red Raspberry Seed Oil (Rubus idaeus).
Black Raspberries usually have very dark purple-black fruits, rich in anthocyanin pigments. It is one of nature’s most potent antioxidants, making it a desirable ingredient in skin care.
